A twelve-compartment case with movable dividers and a gasketed lid, for the fixings that otherwise live loose in the bottom of a bag. The dividers are full height and they seat firmly, so the case can be carried on its side without the contents redistributing themselves.
The gasket is the part that matters. A case that lets damp in turns a box of phosphate screws orange over a winter in an unheated shop, and there is no recovering them.

How these were arrived at
Measured by static loading at 68°F, ten samples. The handle figure is where the moulded boss begins to deform; the stacking figure is where the lid deflects enough to break the gasket seal.

Care
- Keep the gasket clean — grit on the seal is how damp gets in.
- Do not carry it by the lid.
- Let it warm up before opening it after a cold night; condensation inside a sealed case is worse than leaving it open.
Cautions
- Not watertight. The gasket resists damp and dust; it is not an immersion seal and the case will fill if it is dropped in water.
- Not for liquids or for anything with a solvent in it. The copolymer is attacked by most solvents and the gasket by all of them.
- Not a step or a seat. The lid is not structural and it will crack across the middle.
