The set that gets a bench working: one chisel honed and ready, a marking knife to lay out against, two F-clamps to hold work down, the four-grit abrasive pack, and the roll to keep the edges off each other.
Two clamps rather than one, deliberately. Almost every job that needs a clamp needs a second one about ninety seconds later, and a single clamp is the most common thing missing from a starter set.

Care
- Wipe the edge tools dry after every use and oil them lightly.
- Keep the clamp bars clean and dry; grease the screws, never the bars.
- Store the abrasives flat and out of damp.
Cautions
- The chisel and knife are unplated carbon steel and will spot with rust if put away wet.
- The clamps are holding clamps, not glue-up clamps — the throat is shallow and the force modest.
- A kit ships as one parcel. If a single item arrives damaged we replace that item, not the kit.
